  1. There are no options to purge or archive entries from Finance. We currently feel that they are not required.

    We have a Finance database with over 22,300 transactions, 46 accounts, 1472 payees, 265 categories and 26 schedules. This takes up only 2MB of storage. Even with this many entries, Finance is still very responsive.

    If you have old accounts, categories or payees that you no longer use, then you can edit them and change their status to ‘inactive’. They will no longer appear in transaction lists or ‘selection’ dialogs. You can see inactive items by enabling the menu option ‘Show inactive’ in the transaction, payee or category list screens.

    If you have a compelling reason for needing a purge or archive feature, please let us know why and we will consider it.
